Automation - EPIC Link Remove

I am able to sum story points at epic level. If I remove 1 story from that EPIC (Removing link of epic from story). Total Story point field is not updated. Please do needful.

Can you clarify your rule trigger, please? and a bit more information on your rule itself.

Assuming this is based on "value changes for story points" or something similar?

E.g. if the rule is triggered for a specific field update - removing something like a story from an epic, isn't a specific "field update" so therefore the trigger won't fire.

Is this often that you would remove a story from an epic or only so often? 

The reason being - is that, depending on your current automation rule - you can either find a more suitable trigger that could or should get updated when you remove this link

Or combine it with another automation (or replace) with something like a schedule trigger, that checks once (or more a day) to perform that same sum - so, although it won't trigger at the exact point you remove the link, it should capture it at some point depending on how frequent you set that schedule to trigger.
