Auto-set Organization

I have a list of organizations in my project, all containing users (a user is in just one organization).

I would like to set the Organization field after the reporter's organization, but haven't found an easy way to do it.

The option to use the user email's domain does not work for me because users having the same domain are in different organizations.

The workaround I have implemented in a long list of if-then blocks where I check the organization the reporter belongs to and setting the field, but it's quite long and unmanageable.

Is there a quicker way to do this?

Outside of domain I don’t know of any option to achieve this. If we had Customer profiles where we could associate an Org that would be nice.

Thanks Jack, that's quite disappointing...

Will keep my workaround until the implement a better solution.
