Auto Ticket Closure - Automation Rule

Jairaj K December 28, 2021

Hi All,

If anyone is good at the Automation rules in Jira Cloud, please assist me on the below requirement.

1. Tickets transitioned from Work In Progress to Waiting for client response, email should send a notification to the Customer/Reporter.
2. If there is no response from the customer/Reporter in 48 business hours then a second email notification should be sent.
3. If there is no response from the customer/Reporter, third and final notification should be sent as a reminder and ticket status should be changed from WFC to On-Hold
4. And if there is no response from the client in 72 business hours while status is on On-Hold, then the ticket should be marked as completed.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi @Jairaj K

You can base your requirements with the help of this tutorial to send the emails: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/Jira-Automation-Video-Tutorial-on-how-to-send-customized-emails/ba-p/1861508

For auto closure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTDJrRBfvPo

You will have to tweak your JQLs.

Good Luck
