Assigning user in Quip does not get pushed back to Jira

I was testing to see if all the columns were saving the data back to Jira and all of them were working except for 'Assignee'. I added users on open issues but once saved it erases on quip. I was wondering if it was an issue on quip or on jira. I'm new to jira and would appreciate every help. Thank you.

Per your description, I understand that you have integrated Jira with another application (Equip), however, the assignee is not displaying on the Equip Application. Is that correct?

In order to properly troubleshoot your issue, can you provide us on how are you're integrating both applications? Are you using a third-party app or build your own integration?
