Allowing agents to update Request Participants if using property jira.permission.edit to limit edits

Julie Beltz April 8, 2024

We are limiting the editing of issues once they are approved using the property jira.permission.edit.group.  This way values can't be modified from what was there when it was approved.  Agents are still able to update the Status and Assignee, but not other data fields.  Is there anyway to allow updates to Request Participants?   I would have considered that a default agent use field.

Hi @Julie Beltz

I'd assume it's classed as a field in general - which is part of the "Edit Issue" permission.

The reason Status and Assignee are still editable is probably because you need different permissions for those - i.e Transition Issue and Assign Issue.

What other fields are you trying to limit editing for, post-approval? Could you reverse the approval if fields are edited as an alternative?
