Add products to hardware request

Hi Community, 

 

I am setting up a assets service management platform for my company using the IT management template.

Is there a way to add all the products my employees can choose from when submitting a request?

We have 100+ different products they could request assistance with, divided up in a few categories.

Yes, I believe we have done something like this. You need to add it in as a field/custom field. We have ours as Application/Feature. User selects the application in the first dropdown, then a list of the features specific to that application is available in a 2nd dropdown. It took a long time to fill out this list but it has every application and feature available to select. In your case, I would do category as the first dropdown then a list of products in that category as the 2nd one. Below is how it looks on the customer request screen.
