JSM distinguishes between request forms that are entered internally (directly in JSM) and those that are entered via the customer portal. In the internal application, images can also be added in the "Description" field. This function is not available in the customer portal. Is there a way to add this add function in the customer portal as well?

Hi!
I have the same question as the author of this thread. Can the users of Jira Customer Portal add a screenshort withing the descriprion field? For instance, so that the text can look like:
"I have found a problem in this part of the system, on this screen:
image
text, text, text...
image
text..."
It is really needed to be able to add an image inside the description field, now the rich text editor does not have a button/possiblity to add an image within the text.
Other openSource applications for support ticket management allow adding an image using a function:
text 1
!image_name.jpg!
text 2
Can we do something similar in JCR?
Thanks
Hi @Daniel Pfeffer, have you tried dragging an image or file into the Description section? I was able to do it in the portal but I'm an admin and don't know if that works for portal Customers. When I did this, the file was treated as an attachment and showed up in the Attachments field on the Request Form (customer view) instead of in the Description field. That said, you could also include an Attachment field on the screen so they can drag files there (which would be a little more intuitive).
Hope this helps, good luck!

Dear @Susan Waldrip Thank you for your answer.
We already have the procedure you described. However, I would like customers to be able to insert an image in the text, as is possible here in the chat or in the internal Jira application. How do I get the add image/photo icon into the customer view?

Ah, I see. Hmm, one of our experts will have to answer that one, I hope they can help you soon. Thanks for clarifying!
