Hello everyone just started learning Jira Service Management
I can't figure out how to create a task and add an email of any client as a recipient to it, for example, I want to write a letter from jira to a client with instructions on the functionality, how best to do this?
Hi Anton, welcome to the community.
So JSM is used primarily for tracking customer issues. It sounds like what you were trying to do is share with your customer some sort of instructions? I guess you could use JSM for this by simply opening an issue on the customers behalf. I would advise you to use the raise a request link in the sidebar and set the reporter to be your customer. Note ahead of doing this add the customer to the project. Then depending on the format of your instructions you can either add an attachment or simply detailed instructions in the comment. Once you create the issue the customer will receive a notification via email. They can either reply to the email to add a comment to the issue or they can click the link and go to the portal where they can monitor progress and access any attachment.
