As per the details you provided, I understood that you want participants to receive just the first email when the ticket is created/shared with them and not the other notifications (comment, status), please correct me if I'm wrong.
If that's the case, it's possible to configure who will receive the notifications for a request. To do that, please go to Project settings > Customer notifications.
On this page, you can see all notifications customers receive and to edit the recipient, click on "Edit" for the desired notification and on To which is by default "Customers involved", you can remove and add only the Reporter. Then on the bottom of the page, click on Save.
You need to follow these steps for each notification that you don't want the participants to receive.
