Hi all, I was wanting to create an automation that comments on particular issues on creation to get more information for the requester. Because Jira service management doesn't provide the ability to create conditional fields on a request type I though we could comment on the issue and based on the results of the request type and its answers the comment could be used to gather the needed information. Some of the scenarios would be best suited to be answered via dropdown menu (due to a potential of hundreds of options.
My idea for the comment would be as follows:
"Hi please answer the following:
[INSERT custom dropdown field here]"
If this is not possible is there any other way to simulate having Custom Fields in Sire Service Management?
