Is it possible to have an automated message for when a new issue is created that the account owner would be notified of the new ticket creation?
For example; if John is the owner of Company X, when a ticket is created by Company X, John is automatically notified via email that Company X has submitted a new request.
Are you already using components in the project? That would be one way. Set automation rules so that anytime a ticket is created from email x (or some differentiator for a company) assign it the component of X (x being company name) and assign the account manager as the component lead. Then add component lead to the Create Issues portion of the Notification Scheme.
