unable to access http://localhost:8080 in browser

Hi ,I have installed jira service desk on my vm using https://confluence.atlassian. Installed everything as mentioned in the link. When i tried to access it in browser http://localhost:8080 (instead of local host I gave my ip address) I am getting an error as "The site cant be reached" . how can I resolve this all the procedure was followed during installation and everything was success.

Hi @Soorya C 

  1. Are you able to access Jira using another URL to confirm that it is up and running?
  2. Have you tried restarting Jira? https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/start-and-stop-jira-applications-938847802.html
  3. Could you paste the connector that you configured on the JIRA_INSTALL/conf/server.xml file here? 
  4. Please also check the JIRA_HOME/log/atlassian-jira.log file if there are any errors when Jira is starting up.
