setting up a service desk - queue doesnt show

Dan Froelich January 4, 2018

Ive setup a service desk as admin and added new users to it to, but users see this view: https://www.screencast.com/t/JfXliOTDEZQL

I would prefer they see what I have: https://www.screencast.com/t/hbSGTqetyfwN
But I'm not sure what roles are needed. I've addd them to: jira-servicedesk-users under Jira Site Admin. In the project itself - for people -have used administrator and service desk team both.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I guess they must be in the  Service Desk Team role in the Service Desk project where you want to add them.

There is the Service Desk Agent permission in the project permission scheme. Users who have the permission can use Service Desk features. By default this permission is granted to  Service Desk Team role and Administrator role.

Thanks! Turns out there was a group with lower permissions that were over riding it all. Once i removed all but the  essential, it worked.
