Why is comments adding the user that responded?

We have been trying to hide the agents name from the from field in the email. We used ${email.hostname} hover this seems to only work on one Service Desk and it doesn't always work. Some actions cause it to add the agents name to the from field. Some assistance on this matter would be much appreciated.
