Why does Jira servicedesk sends notifications to customers with long delays?

Fabian van den Barselaar August 22, 2017

We are having a lot of servicedesk projects and we are having problems with the notifications to our customers. All notifications to customers are not send directly but kept until the evening and send all together. But that's not what we want of course.

Where do I change this setting? So that customers are informed directly?

Server or cloud? This sounds like a mail system issues vs. JSD. I would suggest checking that first. I don't know of any JSD configuration that controls timing of notifications.

Server version. But do you mean in Jira mail settings or outside jira?

outside of JIRA, i.e. your mail server. You should check the timestamp of when the notification hits your mail server vs. when the notification event occurred in JSD then finally with the receipt by customer.
