Sorry for the rant, but it is so frustrating that JSD does not provide a way to save details about employees, so we added "Active Directory Attributes Sync" and "User profiles" so Jira can show details and profile pictures.
But agents cannot search for a reporter using phone number, department etc.
I´m trying to solve this issue by creating a custom field that searches Microsoft Active Directory so agents who get service calls can quickly find users based on phone number.
That is working now and the agent get's the username from AD into the custom field using Elements Connect.
How can I set the reporter to that username as soon as the value changes inside the Create Issue screen?
I already made a post-function using ScriptRunner, so it will update the reporter when the issue get's created, but that is not sufficient.
Can I set the reporter field while still inside the Create Issue screen, as soon as a custom field value changes? How?
