Service desk unable to reload a page after status transition

since a couple of weeks our help desk installations started having issues reloading the active page after some actions such as:

  • change the status of a ticket
  • change the ticket assignee

It happens inconsistently but when it does, the dialog window where the ticket was updated will be forever loading when actually the ticket was already updated. A refresh of the page will bring the ticket with a refreshed status.

This is not a common case, and we will need more details to be able to help you. I suggest you to open a Support request against JIRA Cloud. We will probably need to check your instance to identify what is causing this behaviour.

I've seen this behavior in JIRA occasionally, not related to Service Desk projects. I am not able to reproduce it yet. Changing the status (either with a Transition Screen or as an immediate action) results in the 'Loading...' spinner and nothing more. Refreshing the page shows the correctly and accurately updated issue.
