Separating internal team from external customers

Erick June 27, 2019

I have two service desk projects. One for our internal team and another one for customers.

What's the best way to allow all team to access the internal service desk without exposing it to our external customers?

Thanks!

Erick

Create two organizations. One organization for your internal customers and one organization for your external customers. Then associate both internal and External organizations to your internal project and associate only the external organization to your external project.

Erick,

This would require you to update the request security on your service desk projects.

If your external customers are potentially anyone and everyone, you'd need to open the external project so that anyone can raise a request against the instance.

If you have a select group of external customers that can raise requests, you could add all those customers directly to your external project.

For the internal project, you'd change it so that only customers in the desk belong to your company.
