SSL Certificate

Gary Siconolfi Jr August 7, 2017

I'm trying to determine whether it's possible to use an existing Certificate to move JIRA Service Desk to a public URL. I'd like to use "support.company.com", however I'm not seeing a way to use our existing certificate for that site. Any help is appreciated!

As long as you have the private key, cert, and chain/root files, you should be able to use an existing certificate. They keystore instructions are slightly different, see here:

I would agree with Boris that using an apache or nginx proxy is preferrable to using tomcat.

Are you currently using a Cloud instance or a Server instance? If Cloud, then it is not possible. If it is Server then you can host the application at any URL you choose. Typically it is recommended that you use a reverse proxy such as Apache or Nginx to perform SSL termination.

This is a Server instance, and we're having a tough time figuring out how to use a cert we already have. Are you aware of any documentation of how to host the application at our URL?

I should have said "https://support.company.com".
