Have established an approvers field in the portal form (JIRA Service Desk) for users raising a change request to select an approved authoriser for their change. This is working nicely however, I do not want the raise user to approve his/her own request. Can this be achieved?
Hi Noel,
You can first avoid this by setting up a List of Approvers rather than allowing the customers to choose any approver.
See Step 3: Configuring the user picker custom field from Configuring Jira Service Desk Approvals for more details on how to select a list of approvers.
Now, if the customer themselves is already on that list of approvers, then they will still be able to select themselves. We have a feature request below to avoid that:
