Question about JIRA Service Desk installation (lots of custom fields are programmatically created)

Hi Jira Service Desk team,
Hope you're very fine.
I'd like to ask you just a little question about the behavior of JIRA, specifically custom fields configuration, after installing JIRA Service Desk.
At least on my environment, after install JIRA Service Desk, exactly 39 custom fields named as Customer Request Type were programmatically created by the installation. So, my question is: Is it normal???

This widget could not be displayed.

I have exactly the same problem - I now have 12 custom fields called "Customer Request Type" that appear to be identical, with identical values.

These show up in the search options drop down, and are generally irritating/annoying to our users.

Is it safe for me to delete 11 of them, and if so which 11??
