Provide links for Knowledge base instead of embedding the page

Jim McCaskey September 28, 2017

Hi there,

We are working towards trying to move our Helpdesk system to Service Desk and ran into an annoyance.  We have linked a confluence space as the back end KB which works relatively well.  The problem is the confluence page comes up embedded in service desk.  All of our users have confluence license though, and we'd like for them just to have a link to confluence.  Some of our pages do not look good in the small window you get in Service Desk.

Here are the versions:

Service Desk 3.6.2

Jira 7.4.2

Confluence 6.3.2

Any suggestions?

Hi Jim,

What I did was embed a link to the confluence page into the KB articles that come up so they can navigate to Confluence.   Maybe something like "Want to view in Confluence" (link).

Not perfect.

Well, it's better than nothing.  Appreciate the feed back.

Have you ever found an open issue on this?

Thanks!
