Problems in the start of JIRA

Javier Carrasco June 18, 2019

Good Morning;
After the scheduled restart of the Jira instance, when starting the application, it does not start and implies that the JIRA installation has been lost. How can we recover the previous installation or the existing information? We have the automatic Back ups that the application itself makes.

Javier,

I believe restarting JIRA won't cause any data loss unless there is any hardware or disk failures. We just want to see the error that comes up when try to start the JIRA. You can also share or review the catalina or atalassian log files for any such errors.

If you have backups available, then it's possible to restore your JIRA back online with data. We typically need the JIRA database dump along with JIRA home directory (where it stores attachments and other data) OR JIRA xml backup for restoration.  See this article for XML restoration.

thanks

Hello;
Hemos restaurado los ficheros XML creados en el día de ayer, con ello hemos podido levantar la instancia y recuperar todos los proyectos, aunque no hemos podido recuperar toda la información de las incidencias ni peticiones de servicio. Debemos recuperar algun otro fichero?

Good afternoon;

As you comment Shankar Asam, the problem has come due to a problem in the physical disks of the server.

We have already re-established all the information in the BD and the Jira
is giving service normally for the moment.

Thanks for your help and the support provided
