I'm new to Jira Support Desk and I'm trying to find out how to automate 'Request received' emails for each new support request sent to our email address (associated with the project).
Is there any guide online on how to do it?

have you had the chance to search the documentation yet? Because you can use the customer notifications in your project (There's one already present called "Request created") and customize them. Additionally, automation rules can be created. So have a look at the following articles:

Shortly after I posted the question I've found the Notifications, however I did not receive the notification for a new request I've sent to the system via email - although it was logged in and "Request created' notification is enabled?
