My team that consists of 20 people is currently using Jira core for 10-25 members for 1,250$ annually. A small part of our team needs to be able to use Jira Service Desk. Is it possible to add Jira Service Desk to our team and give access only to 5 people? Or it will automatically cost 4500$ for the whole team?
yes indeed and it is actually better than that.
The way JSD is priced is that you pay only for Agents (those users that will be assigned JSD issues to resolve). Then you can have the rest of your team be Customers which are free. Customers can open issues by email or via a customer Portal. All issues go into Queues that your agents work from to resolve the issues.
