JSD: Need to restrict the portals to certain group of accounts

Hi,

I have a need to add certain number of existing JIRA users as customers to a JSD portal project. I am currently exploring ways to achieve this as below:

  1. Create a group and add users to it and add the group as organisation in JSD project. This could be easy setup, but every time a new users get added to the system, we need to do this to get that users access. Moreover, there's no easy way to update all existing users to add to the group. 
  2. Look for a free plugin or some automation something (Bob's?) to achieve this. Haven't explored here much.

The issue currently I have is with user setup. Current setup contains both internal (employees) and external customer accounts are created without using any group or role information.

I think this can be achieved by a plugin. The existing options are limited and specific. Please see attached image.
