Is the service desk email setting account using pop or imap?

I would like to know how email is being retrieved from an account via Service Desk so that I can configure the email account to delete emails after being read.

This widget could not be displayed.

To enable POP mail for your external account choose the Other option under Email Settings so that you can select POP protocol.

To delete emails after being read, you can use the pop protocol as described on the following documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/SERVICEDESK/Receiving+requests+by+email

information To link your email account with a service desk using POP, make sure that your email inbox is empty by moving the existing messages to another folder, archiving them, or deleting them. Starting with an empty inbox ensures that you do not lose emails unintentionally, as POP emails are deleted after they are processed by JIRA Service Desk.
