We are looking at Jira Service Desk (Cloud) to replace our current solution. The biggest gap that I can see right now is lack of information around customers. We currently have our service desk tied to AD which allows us to pull information such as, Username, phone number, department, manager, etc. From everything that I have read, connecting to AD is not supported.
Does anyone know if there is a way to upload customer info in some other way such as .csv file? Also can we capture more information about customers like we currently do?
Thanks!
Unfortunately, this is not possible on JSD Cloud. Unless you create a custom add-on which can store these properties and display them where you require it to be viewed.
Even the JIRA server version does not have this feature out of the box.
There are few add-ons for JIRA server eg : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/de.communardo.jira.plugins.userprofile/server/overview
Thank you for the reply Mizan. Crazy that you can't enter actual customer data. This prevents us from actually using the service desk.
