Internal/External Jira Service Desk Projects and Keeping the Portals Different

Jeffrey Bistrong Apr 20, 2019

We are currently using Jira Service Desk to provide support for our external customers.

However, I also want to have a JIRA Service Desk Project to streamline our internal HR onboarding to help us track who has access to which applications when they are onboard.

I would like to ensure that the HR project does not appear in our standard (external facing portal) and would like to be able to use a different portal.

From what I have read, I don't believe this is possible, but I did want to confirm it.

I guess my solution would be to use a JIRA Core Project and just have our department heads submit tickets through this project,

If anyone has any ideas/solutions, I am open to hearing how all of you might be doing this.

You can certainly mix the two. It is all in how you set them up. Here is one thread that may help.
