I need to assign issues to different user automatically while creating issue based on custom field value in jira ondemad

I am asking to assign issues to different users automatillcally while creating issue based on user picker custom field value.

For example while creating issue i have one custom field as "Request Category" it contains options like
IT
Non IT
Communication

Suppose i select IT means those issues are assigned to John,i select Non IT means those issues are assigned to Robert like that i need,any Help on this?

This widget could not be displayed.

Jira doesn't have a way to do this natively, and I don't think the plugins available to OnDemand enable it either.

I think the closest you can get is to use the "components" field instead - you can set "component leads" and then set the rule that "automatic assignee = component lead"
