How to inject custom java script in JIRA service desk?

david kreuter August 17, 2015

Is there a way to inject custom java script in JSD in order to overwrite some hyperlink URL? The background is that we have several service desk for e.g. infrastructure, specific services and so on. In some cases services can be also affected by infrastructure issues, so the end-user should create an issue in infrastructure JSD. So to increase the usability I would like to link "infrastructure help request" from the service JSD to the actual request type in the infrastructure JSD instead of create the same request type in all JSD. This would also cause some redundancy.

Actually there is a feature request opened for it (available here) and there is also a full explanation of our development team about why this is not implemented. However, there is a 3rd party add-on which can give you some sort of customization for JIRA SD and you might be interested in: https://intenso.atlassian.net/wiki/display/SPFJSD/Extension%20for%20JIRA%20Service%20Desk
