How to enable the webhook for JSD "Then" actions?

Lousanje Ramírez September 12, 2016

I just upgraded to JSD 3.2.1 (from 3.1.7 on Server) and was looking forward to use the webhook action for my workflow. But I can't see the "webhook" option on the "Then" dropdown. Is there something I'm missing here?. An additional step to enable it?

I also created a new project (to see if it was a configuration problem with my current one) and had the same result, no webhook option.

Also, I cant see the "Knowledge Base" link on the left sidebar as shown on the release notes, is there something wrong with my  installation?

Currently webhook THEN is only available with WHENs that provide issue context, eg: When: issue created, comment added, SLA time remaining, etc. You first need to specify the WHEN handler before the webhook THEN appear in the dropdown.

I did specify a When trigger, and it still doesn't appear Capture.PNG

Hmm that's odd. Can you go to the Manage Add-ons screen (<jira>/plugins/servlet/upm/manage/all) and check the version of "Service Desk Automation Then-Webhook Plugin" ? It should be 3.2.0 or higher.

And the plugin should be in enabled state (not greyed out)

Seems I don't have that one (which I guess may be the problem), heres an screenshot of what I have:  Screenshot from 2016-09-13 09-44-41.png

It is indeed the problem. Can you try download latest JSD obr again from https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.servicedesk.application/versions?_ga=1.49480869.264719816.1436233964 and upload it via "Manage add-ons" screen in JIRA?

I did that and I see no change in the addons page, still doesnt show the option for webhook either.

Hello,

Any ideas? Is there another place where I can post this so I can get some help?

I'm running into the same issue as @Lousanje Ramirez Navarro - was there a resolution to this problem?

Lousanje Ramírez November 15, 2016

Alex, turns out for some reason the plugin was not installed, I opened a ticket with support and they sent me the correct file, which i just installed

alexbartok November 15, 2016

Thanks for the response! I'll be going the same route then.
