How to edit service desk users beyond the basic full name, and password?

Hello All,

I must be missing something here as it bewilders me as to how this product handles user (customer) management.   Beyond the lack of user import capability which I've now grown to accept is the ability to set even basic user properties like language, change their email address, etc.

From the user management panels in both the project and JIRA core it appears you are unable to do this.   We don't see the users in the JIRA core config panel as the service desk users are not really 'users'.   And what we do see in the Project is to just change the 2 properties above.

There must be a way to do this most basic task.   This can't be the way we are going to have to manage all of our customers.

Hi Larry,

The easiest way to manage Customers will be creating a user group and tie it to the SERVICE DESK CUSTOMERS project role. If you would like to use LDAP, you can take a look at JSDSERVER-4333.
