How do we allow comments to be added to resolved issues? Edited

I'm administering an instance of Service Desk, and we would like comments to be able to be added to resolved issues. 

Currently, for example, when a user emails to say "Thanks!" after we resolve their issue, a new issue is created.  

How do I allow comments to be added to resolved issues?

We ended up solving this by adding the following Workflow Step Properties to the 'Done' workflow step: = whatever group service desk staff are in, so that they can comment


jira.permission.comment.reporter = 

That's intentionally left blank.

Instead please validate below option which won't allow comments to be posted after resolving an issue.




Thank you Ramarao, but we were looking for a way to ALLOW comments for closed issues.

Hello Jake, 

Plese, check your project automation.

Project -> settings -> Automation

Check witch rules you use. 

Also, check your Automation Log, it should help you detect the rule.

Project -> settings -> Automation -> View Log
