We will have multiple Service Desk projects, one for each Customer organization, with each project corresponding to their own customer Portal. We would like customers to be able to self sign up for their portals, rather than agents creating them, but we want to restrict access to each portal based on customer domain.
We do not see how this would be accomplished. It seems as though either Agents need to grant access to portals by adding them to the project customer list, or anyone can self sign up for access to our portals.
Your understanding of this is correct. You could build your own tool which allows people to sign up, and this would create the account for them correctly on the backend via the APIs.
Any examples of this being done irl?
I would love to take advantage of this.

Hi Boris, can you explain further what you're proposing? Do you have an add on that you service?
