How do I create a report that gives me a list of tickets with the word Print in the summary?

Chiraag Patel October 31, 2017

Hello,

I am trying to run a reports against the tickets that have been submitted to the Service Desk.

I am trying to show all tickets with a key word or phrase in the description.

The generated report should have all the tickets in question in an excel sheet.

I tried to create a custom report in Service Desk > Reports > New Report, but am having a hell of a time getting it to do what I am looking for.

Thanks,

Chiraag

I found that you can add "or" strings to add more key words:

summary ~ print or summary ~ printer or summary ~ printing

Hi Chiraag,

You will need to create a custom report and in the "Filter by" switch to advanced and make the search something like "Summary ~ print"

That should do it

Hey Susan,

Thanks for the response, when I ran that report, it only resulted in two hits. I know for certain that there are more than two tickets that involve printers or printing.

Will that string only reflect if the exact word is "print", or should it capture words like "printing"

Thanks!

Chiraag
