How can we remove the user from the 'from' field of an outgoing email?

Hello,

 

Originally, the 'Email from' field in our settings was set as ${fullname} (Jira), but that was causing some confusion.  The field is now set as "Glenn JIRA".    The result out going emails are not consistent.  My company O365 email shows the issue summary followed by the outgoing email address, but my personal Outlook email shows the user full name followed by the outgoing email address.  Is there a way to configure our email so a user name is not displayed in the from field?

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

As per the details you provided, this is related to Service Desk, is that correct?

If so, currently, it's not possible to remove or edit the From field from Service Desk projects.

The ${fullname} (Jira) on the system configuration only works for system notifications. For customer notifications, it will show the agent's full name.

We have a feature request suggesting to hide this information and use the system configuration in Service Desk:
