First of all, this setup was working for us in the past. And then it stopped working. We initially thought it was something to do with Microsoft exchange licenses and talked to their support.
As we dig deeper, it looks like it is an issue with JIRA configuration. And while we were at it, Atlassian changed the whole "Email requests" page now!
No more POP/IMAP settings! So, there is only email address and password required now. How is JIRA connecting to the mail server? POP, IMAP?
In any case, irrrespective of which email I use, Gmail or Microsoft, they fail with an error message:
"Unfortunately JIRA couldn't connect to the mail server. Here is what the mail server said: "AUTHENTICATE failed".
