JSD already has a Database for Customers and Organisations.
After searching the web, we already learned that it is not possible to have the Organisation-Field filled automatically with the respective Customer (except with AddOns/Scripts). To be honest we dont understand why this has not been implemented right from the beginning, but we managed to live with it so far (would still be nice if the feature requests are comming through at some point).
We are working with some Addons recently in order to see if we can move some other systems (like sharepoint for timetracking, or managing Sales) into jira.
Every AddOn we try comes again with its own Customer and Organisation Database.
Is there a way (pretty sure there is not) to have all AddOns simply linked to the already existing Customer/Organisation data from JSD?
Does anyone know if Atlassian is working on something like that or if there is maybe already a feature request for it? Sure, if an AddOn is not using the JSD-Data, we would first think that this is something the Vendor of the AddOn should address, but after seeing that basically every AddOn we tried so far works the same way, we guess that it is related to Jira/Atlassian.
