Can you disable Service Desk SLA feature for a project that only want to use the portal feature?

You should be able to do that by deleting all SLA metrics from the project.
All SLA metric pages have a delete button. Just delete them all and you won't have SLAs for the project anymore.

Be careful, if you use JSD 3.5.0, delete all default SLA and try to create a custom SLA, instance keep loading with an error.
