We have deployed several JIRA starter instances using Service Desk. In case we want to upgrade JIRA to a 25 users tier, we need to upgrade all the installed plugins licenses. But, what about Service Desk? can we still use the starter 3 agents license on this server or we have to use the 4/5 agents SD license (wich have extra cost, and we actually don´t need more agents).
If we can use starter SD licenses independently of the JIRA user tier, that would be great, i just want to make sure of this, several customers also want to upgrade their Jiras and are concerned about the "big jump" from $10 to $1500.
Any comments would be very appreciated,

If you are in the Service Desk 2.x or higher pricing plan, your Service Desk tier does not have to match your JIRA tier. We use a Service Desk 3 agent tier with a JIRA 50 user tier without any problems.
Service Desk 1.x had a different pricing plan where the agent/user tiers needed to match, but this pricing plan is only available if you have purchased Service Desk before version 2.0. And then you can still switch to the new pricing plan.
