Can a multicascade custom field have text custom field in its child attributes?

Sekhar Chandra September 16, 2019

I have a multicascade custom field "Requisites" where it has sub-fields as follows:

  • Requisites
    • applications
      • List all applications
    • Databases
      • List Database(s) being changed:
      • New Names being Created:
      • Existing tbl modified:
    • Date
      • Modification to Existing Data?
      • New Static Date (Y/N)
      • Done manually or scripted?
    • Middleware
      • Description of Middleware changes and Dependencies
    • Monitoring and Operational procedures (check boxes)
      • Name of System used for Monitoring
      • Additional Monitoring Required / Added for Release
      • Team who will monitor the system
      • New Operational Procedures Being Introduced with Release
      • Application Start-up and shutdown times
      • Start-up and shutdown mechanism (Autosys, Cron, …)
    • Client/Vendor notifications
      • Required? Date sent, Date proposed
    • Infra
      • List location and server where application will be deployed
      • List server dependencies
      • List network dependencies

How effectively this can be done?

If i choose multicascade option in custom fields, can i get an option to choose text custom field, radio button, check box, select list, etc for its different sub-fields?

Thanks in advance.

Sekhar.

Hi,

Jira multicascade custom field is only select lists.  You can't mix and match.

You could look at app "Extension for Jira Service Desk" which allows dynamic fields on the Portal.

Hope that helps
