Can I use Confluence (Server) as a knowledge base for Jira Service Desk (Cloud)

Tim Lardner October 11, 2019

I already have a functioning application link between Jira (Cloud) and Confluence (Server), but when I try to link a knowledge base for Jira Service Desk, I can only see System (i.e. Cloud) Confluence in the options.

I know linking Cloud-Cloud and Server-Server works, and I've even seen cases where users have linked Jira(Server)-Confluence(Cloud) but I've not seen the reverse. Is this possible?

Hi Tim,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

A while ago it was possible to use Confluence Server as a knowledge base for Service Desk Cloud, but since March last year, this ability was removed.

Now it’s possible only to link a Confluence space to a Service Desk project if they are under the same domain.

You can find more details on the blog below:

Regards,
Angélica
