Arsie,

Jira Service Desk and Confluence are two distinct applications that integrate with each other.  There is not a way to Combine them into a single interface.  With that being said if you use an application link to link them together you can share certain data between the systems but will never have full functionality of one application in another.  Learn more about application links here.   https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/using-applinks-to-link-to-other-applications-938846918.html

Confluence has the ability once linked to generate issues in Jira, display Jira issues and do some reporting.  Jira is able to link to Confluence articles and the Jira Service Desk can link to a Confluence Knowledge Base allowing users to search KB articles and solutions from the service desk portal.  It also allows agents to see related and search KBs when answering service desk issues and embed them in the response.  https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/guide-to-link-knowledge-base-to-jira-service-desk-for-unlicensed-user-816677228.html
