We are working on allowing contributors to add ideas (and insights) to JPD.
The upcoming change regarding the "Create" button is great!
One of the things we are missing in JPD, is being able to create a view that will show only the latest created ideas by contributors. This view will help the product managers to handle these ideas and make sure they are treated ("triaged") in some way.
The insights filter (see screenshot below) is great, and we would like to have something similar in regards to new ideas. Being able to filter only ideas by contributors is a bonus (though we can probably do that by other means). I couldn't find any way to do this in JPD (of course it can be done in an advanced filter in Jira, but that would be going outside the JPD project and is not as good).
Thanks @Tanguy Crusson - I thought of using an automation for this, but having it set as true by the filter is even easier. Thanks.
Regarding showing only the recent new ideas, since we can't filter by "Created", I thought of having a default status for the newly created ideas (and have it in the filter of their view), and that the product managers will change the status once they took a look and decided what to do with it. This way, once the idea was moved to another status, it is no longer in the "intake" view.
@Omer Meshar yep that's a good plan. Other teams have configured a checkbox field for that ("Triaged: true/false")
