We are using the Jira Cloud for Slack integration where you can create an issue in a project. This allows us to have a Product Request Slack channel where we can push messages into the Product Discovery project as Ideas. It also allows us to "Add to issue", meaning a message is added to an Idea as an Insight. All of this is super valuable.
The challenge is that every Field for an Idea is in the Slack form. We would like to clean the form up by selecting which fields are available in the Slack form for users to complete and which ones would be hidden from the form. Is there a way to accomplish this today?
@Rohan Swami Is there an update? It's really unusable this way. @Tanguy Crusson maybe?
@Rohan Swami is there any suggestions on what we could do for this currently? is there a way to move the fields in the form?
I guess deleting unused Fields would reduce the list.
@Richard Muffler Have you worked out a way of sorting this or a solution we have the same issue. We love the integration, But we have 6 fields we are after not the 44.
@Craig Harman currently not, we're working on a solution and looking forward to having more to share on it when the time comes.
No luck at the moment, we'll be excited when we can select which fields to display in Slack. Looks like they are looking into it based upon @Rohan Swami last comment.
Hi @Rohan Swami any updates on this capability? It's much needed.
@[deleted] We've been focusing on solving this problem through the contributor experience. You can see details here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/Letting-contributors-create-ideas-in-a-Jira-Product-Discovery/ba-p/2323964
@Rohan Swami this doesn't solve for the fact that every possible field still appears in the form on Slack, right?
