Add an idea to a filtered list in just one click

Hi everyone!

Have you been seeing this popup a lot?

Screenshot 2021-10-08 at 18.37.33.png

If so this update is for you :)

From now on, if you create an idea in a view with a filter, the app will automatically set field values to match the filter. It only happens in cases where the filter makes it possible. e.g.

  • Field1 = X --> Yes
  • field1 = X AND field2=Y --> Yes
  • field1 = A OR B --> No

We hope that helps!

Cheers,

Tanguy

Hi @Tanguy Crusson,

Seems that it doesn't work for me.

When I set in filters for example: Assignee is AND Labels is, then I always have something like this 👇Capture d’écran 2021-10-25 125856.png

By the way, it isn't clear in Filters how to manage OR / AND

Thanks for your help!

@David Spire thanks for that! it looks like you found a bug with 2 field types: user fields, and label fields. We're on it.

Great, thanks you, it seems it is only an issue with Status

Thanks @Tanguy Crusson please confirm when it will be solved :)

No worries @David Spire , we're working on it and I'll let you know when it's fixed (shouldn't take long)

@David Spire the issue is fixed.

It applies a value automatically for Assignee, people fields, labels

Not for status yet though - but at least it doesn't throw an error. For status it will ask you to specify a value. We'll follow up later to make sure this one is auto-applied too.

Hi @Tanguy Crusson thanks for your feedback and first part of resolution

Hi @Tanguy Crusson,

Do you have any target for fixing the use of status when adding an issue in a specific view?

We're now starting to use JPD with all team internally and that's becoming a critical one for effective use of the app :).

King regards,

David

hi @David Spire - we didn't prioritize that last bit up until now, but let me see if we can get to it soon.

Edit: someone is looking into it now.

@David Spire I've just tested this in our staging environment and it works.

It should get deployed early next week.
