As project or tech lead, life is super busy and work is super chaotic. You’re in meeting after meeting after meeting. You’re juggling a lot of jobs and tasks in and out of the office. You need to stay connected and you need to stay organised as much as possible.

We’ve built native iOS and Android apps to give you the speed and flexibility to adapt.

Leave heavy laptops, spotty Wifi connections and long boot times behind:

  • Manage your team, projects, boards, queues on the go, and more.

  • Seamless and secure login with Single sign-on support for Google and Microsoft accounts.

  • A snappy, easy to use, always connected Jira.

Join very happy customers and get more done:

  • 2M+ installs across all devices

  • 4+ star ratings from happy Jira users

  • 2x more issues resolved by Jira users using mobile apps, over the average user

  • 25% faster Jira performance in the Jira mobile apps, over web

All these and more, so download the apps on iOS and Android today.

Let’s go over some of the perks for team and project leads.

Run team rituals with the Board view

During standup our developer leads use the boards to do a roll-call of updates on what’s currently being worked on. Cards are moved along, with comments added and action items created if needed. This is especially useful during remote stand-ups where you have team members on the call and we use the Jira app to update issues to keep track of updates or keep note of blockers after the standup.

We’ve seen others use AirPlay or Chromecast to display the board or backlog on a compatible screen for a team-wide huddle. With the Jira app, you can leave your laptop on the desk and still get teamwork happening.

See what’s coming and report to stakeholders with Roadmap view

Before our developer leads kick off the planning meeting with the team, we look into what’s coming up. We use the Roadmap to do this.

With the Roadmap we can see what epics we are currently working on, and which epics are coming up. This allows us to prioritise the appropriate backlog items. We can also tap into the Roadmap epics to see what work is associated with those epics. With the Jira app, we can quickly identify what things we need to focus on next, anytime and anywhere.

Often times, stakeholders have questions or want quick updates. With the Jira app, I can pull the Roadmap in any situation to get an answer. We can visualise how squads are moving along, which epics are getting worked on, and, give a better picture when we are ready to release.

Groom the next set of work for kick-off with Backlog view

Our team use Scrum practices and we run on 2-week sprints. With the Backlog view, project leads can get ready anywhere and anytime. Leads are often very busy individuals so it’s super important that they’re able to organize their work just before they sit on kick-offs with the team.

In the backlog view, leads can change priorities, groom tickets, adjust story points and total up the issues to get a sense of our upcoming capacity. Leads often do this on their phone or tablets, saving them time from going back to the desk and sit through loading animations. The Jira app uses native technology to save data in the background and speed up the whole Jira experience.

Prioritise, update and groom backlog items on the Jira Cloud iPad app

Some of our leads do everything on the go, including the kick-offs. Team members can all go into the phone or tablet to check what’s coming up. The team prioritises and readjusts estimates. The team lead can prepare, make minor changes, start and complete the sprints on the app – keeping meetings short and effective.
