want use @ to mention people instead of ctrl+m in JIRA

Can you elaborate more on what do you want to do? Using @mentions  is fairly easy to do on JIRA fields that support it.

Generally in JIRA we are using ctrl+m to mention any people. I want to use @ to mention people instead if ctrl+m as in confluence we are using @ to mention people.

What is happening when you try to use @username in a comment field in your JIRA instance?

nothing is happening as usual I am writing @. I just want to use "@" to mention instead of "ctrl+m" in JIRA.
