"assignee was in membersof(<group>)" not working for other users

Why the query: assignee was in membersof(<group>)

is working when I am using it (as administrator), but I shared the query with other users, and there is an error:

"A value provided by the function 'membersof' is invalid for the field 'assignee'."

Same for: assignee changed to membersof(<group>)

Please advise.
